Teach My Grandson Teacher - Gently, If You Can
My grandson starts school today. It's going to be strange and new to him for a while, and I wish you would sort of treat him gently.
You see, up to now, he's been king of the roost -- he's been boss of the backyard. His mom, dad, and Grandma have always been around to repair his wounds, and soothe his feelings.
But now things are going to be different! This morning he's going to walk down the front steps, wave his hand, and start out on a great adventure... it's an adventure that might take him across the continent... it's an adventure that might incllude wars and strategy and sorrow.
To live his live in this world, will require faith and love and courage. So teacher, I pray you will take him by his young hand and teach him the things he will have to know.
Teach my grandson teacher -- but gently, if you can. He will have to learn, I know, that all men are not just, that all men are not true.
But teach him also, that for every scounderel, there is a hero.. that for every crooked politician, there is a dedicated leader. Teach him that for every enemy, there is a friend.
It will take time teacher, I know, but teach my grandson, if you can, that a nickel earned is far more value than a dollar found... teach him to learn to lose... and to enjoy winning.
Steer him away from envy, if you can, and teach him the secret of quiet laughter.
Let my grandson learn early that the bullies are the easiest people to lick.. teach him, if you can, the wonder of books... but also give him quiet time to ponder the eternal mystery of birds in the sky, bees in the sun, and flowers on a green hill.
In school, teacher, teach him it is far more honorable to fail than to cheat... teach him to have faith in his own ideas, even if everyone tells him that he is wrong... teach him to be gentle with gentle people and tough with tough people.
Try to give my grandson strength not to follow the crowd when everyone else is getting on the bandwagon... teach him to listen to all men... but, teach him also to filter all he hears on a screen of truth and take only the good that comes through.
Teach my grandson teacher.. but gently if you can, how to laugh when he is sad... teach him there is no shame in tears... teach him there can be glory in failure and despair in success.
Teach him to close his ears to a howling mob... and to stand and fight if he thinks he is right.
Teach him to scoff at cynics and to beware of too much sweetness.. teach him to sell his brawn and brains to the highest bidders but, never, never, put a price tag on his heart and soul.
Treat my grandson gently, teacher, but don't coddle him, because only the test of fire makes fine steel.. let him have the courage to be impatient... let him have the patience to be brave.
Teach him always to have sublime faith in himself. Because then he will have sublime faith in God and Mankind.
This is a tall order, teacher, but please help him if you can do. You see, he's such a nice little fellow... my grandson.
Teach my grandson, teacher.. but gently if you can.

A blind boy..
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"
The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way."
I wrote: "Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it."
Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?
Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have.. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.
The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling…
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!
Enjoy your day with a heart of gratitude.

ROALD DAHL.................
Have u ever heard about Roald Dahl?? nope?
what about 'the way up to heaven'?? 'the sound machine'?? or may be 'charlie and the chocolate factory'?? yeay..these are all Roald Dahl's stories..
Roald Dahl - World's No. 1 Storyteller.. especially children's stories..
even though my schedule is pack with never ending assignments, it doesn't mean i'm gonna stop reading..(not sure whether it's good or bad)..and the latest one, i managed to read 1 of Roald Dahl's book "MATILDA"..seriously, i love this book..it took me less than a day to finish reading me..no wonder it managed to win the children's book award..
i'm not good in writing book review..but what i can say, this 'light' story is really cute and interesting..it's about a girl named Matilda..she is an exceptional girl..she's a genius..however, her parents think that she's just a trouble maker..she's the black sheep of the family..it is until she is attacked by her headmistress that she realizes that she has power..
even though there are several unrealistic scenes in this story, it's still acceptable..overall, it's for children and children love imaginative stories..we can also learn several things from this story..it actually demonstrates real life situation.. 'adults vs children'.. adults tend to underestimate children.."the elder you are,the wiser u would be"..children's voices and statements that challenge adults are not to be heard..
as a future teacher, i also learn something from this book..it is my responsibility to be aware of my students' abilities..advanced students are to be noted and necessary actions are to be taken to further develop their abilities...i love Miss Honey's character in this novel..she's a good teacher..yeay..

and here's another thing...
i went to K-Mart Toowong just now to buy winter clothes..indeed, i spent my money at 1 of the bookstores there to buy a Roald Dahl's story collection..without buying any winter clothes...luckily it didn't cost me much..still have money to buy the winter clothes..huhu..i should try to avoid coming near any bookstores after this..but still, NO regret..indeed,i'm gonna collect more books here..hihihi...

*to be a primary school teacher, i have to be and think like the children..reading their books, helps me to understand them better..1 of them..children love imagination..(^______^)
p/s- buat kakak2 ksayanganku haslinda or fauziah, ape kate akak2ku skalian tlg carikn and belikan dulu novel 'cinta sufi' by Ramlee awang Murshid??..nnti I byr blik..huhu..boleh la ekk..luv u (^__^)

InshaAllah
I really love this song..
"Don't despair and never loose hope..cause Allah is always by your side"..
Insha Allah
Everytime you feel like you cannot go on
You feel so lost
That your so alone
All you see is night
And darkness all around
You feel so helpless
You can’t see which way to go
Don’t despair and never loose hope
Cause Allah is always by your side
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way
Everytime you commit one more mistake
You feel you can’t repent
And that its way too late
Your’re so confused, wrong decisions you have made
Haunt your mind and your heart is full of shame
Don’t despair and never loose hope
Cause Allah is always by your side
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way
Turn to Allah
He’s never far away
Put your trust in Him
Raise your hands and pray
OOO Ya Allah
Guide my steps don’t let me go astray
You’re the only one that showed me the way,
Showed me the way x2
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah we’ll find the way

alhamdulillah..
alhamdullillah..i've finished my another assignment..the presentation...and now having to write a reflection on that..but then, 1 assignment goes, many assignments c0me..4 assignments lining up..and 1 exam coming on..waiting to be treated by me..all in less than 5 weeks..huarghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
and in the middle of nowhere..my head feels like bursting..serious headache..thinking about the assignments??..i don't think so..hihi..planning on pampering myself on this comfortable bed..covered myself with this newly-bought quilt..and heating up the room with another newly-bought item~the heater..hmmmmmmm...i think there's nothing wrong to treat myself after pushing it too much for the assignment..and the cool air here seems to agree with me..yeay~
but then, who's gonna cook tonight?? seems like the another chef is also not feeling well...how i wish mama's here right now..miss her cook..huhu..yup, i think my housemates gonna have to fast tonight as i'm seriously not in the mood of cooking..assignment and cooking mode deactivated 'for a while'..sorry u guyz..
life is not easy especially when we're far from those we love (my family of course)..full of tests that we sometime feel like incapable of facing it..but then, just remember Allah's promise.. "Allah tidak akan membebani seseorang melainkan sesuai dgn kesanggupannya (kemampuannya)" (al-Baqarah:286)..assignments and headache are nothing compared to all the hardworks faced by our prophet Muhammad..so, no matter in happiness..in sadness..in hardship..say alhamdulillah....
*i'm thinking of buying tafsir Quran in English.. must be nice (^____^)

Assignments mode motivated ~
Tomorrow gonna be one of my "BIG" days..yeay..assignment for EDB350.. presentation on the topic IRF as effective communication practices in the classroom.. not really sure why, I don't think that I'm nervous as usual..maybe the 'nervousness' will come tomorrow..but I prefer it to be like this.. we had practiced several times, concerning about the time management..overall, everything is under control..however, we plan..Allah also plans..but Allah is the best planner ever.. when everything has been prepared, just leave it to Allah..He will always be with us..tomorrow I will also collect the result for my first CLB452 assignment..not prepared to know the result today..i'm afraid that it would effect my presentation preparation for tomorrow..so, will then take it tomorrow after my presentation..huaaaaaaaaaaa..
*pray for me..for the presentation and also for the assignment result (^___^)

Autumn In My HEART
Time passes fast without we realizing it. and now, it's weekend again..welcome weekand!!! not knowing what to do right now, it makes my mind flies to Malaysia, to my family..how i miss them so much. it reminds me of our precious autumn break together(it would be more precious if papa, along and sue were also here)..they spent about 9days here and here's are some activities that we did together..so much fun and unforgettable memories..
1st day (Friday,2April)- they arrived early in the morning. we then went to the city (king george square) and UQ (University of Queensland). this is where mak su studied 20years ago. such a nostalgic moment.

2nd day (Saturday,3April)- we went to Woolies, wet market and Ismail shop (halal meat shop). mama wants to know how my day life looks like. buying chicken, meat, fresh veges.-'mom's cook'..ya, the best chef ever..in the evening, we went to South Bank.. we then enjoyed the night scenery on the 'city cat' (ferry).

3rd day (Sunday,4April)-we went to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. the most excited person was my sis(1st time meeting Mr.Kangaroo and Miss Koala).

4th day (Monday,5April)-We went to Harbour Town. shopping!!!!!
5th day (Tuesday,6April)-We went to DFO. too excited... we were there before the shops opened. It's ok. at least it gave us time to survey what's in there.then, shopping!!!! again..

6th day (Wednesday,7April)-My day off for trips. I had an appointment with Emma, my academic supporter. also need some time to work on my assignment. But, not for my family. They went to Chermside to buy lots and lots of chocolate(it's Easter and they sell various cheap chocolates). just searched for them which bus to take, then there they were..(^^)
7th day (Thursday,8April)-We went to Bribbie Island, Sunshine beach, Noosa Head and Mt. Cootha. Subhanallah..what a wonderful and beautiful creations of Allah...

8th day (Friday,9April)-We went to Gold Coast- my sister and I spent almost the entire day at the Movie World.(luckily there's a prayer room inside it)..my mum and maksu had a 2nd trip shopping at Harbour Town.

9th day (Saturday,10April)- they went back to Malaysia.it was the hardest moment for me and my mum.but not for my sis, I think.she had such a wonderful trip with lots and lots and lots of photos (^___^)
overall,we had wonderful time together.but that did not concern my mum much..The main purpose of her visited me was to make sure that I'm fine and everything goes well. and that's what I tried to show her since the very 1st day. "Lega hati mama tgk awak ok dkt sini. x de la mama risau sgt". Huhu..I felt like crying at that moment and yes, I did. I admit, I'm her little baby. but don't worry mama, I'm learning right now to be more independent but still, no matter how independent I am, 1 thing for sure, I will always be your little baby...ALWAYS..
Miss all of U (mama,papa,along,angah,suraya)..
*for those whose family are planning to come and visit you..do plan your journey to the fullest. make use of all the time. spend your time preciously with your family..

I'm new
This is my first time involving in this blogging field. I do not know much about blogging but I believe it is a new challenge for me. Basically, this blog was created just for my personal use. It would be my platform in recording anything significant in my life. It could also be merely about my feelings about anything or even more educationally, reflective writing about something happens around me. I have many ideas in my mind but the thing is I do not know how to express them all. Writing might be the medium I'm looking for all this while. It is also hoped that I can improve my writing skills both in Malay and English via blogging. It would also be nice if someone else reads my blog and gains benefits from it. I love to share and one way of sharing is by spreading any knowledge I have. It does not necessarily be formal knowledge but I believe the best learning resource is experience. We can learn from own experience or from others' experience. Therefore, let us share whatever we have and spread the knowledge with others. 'Sharing is caring'.
